Founded in 2021 by; DJ Tranzish(e)n, (Kayla Borden) and dj5rivers, (Nivie Singh), Pineapple Express Media emerged as a Media Company, in direct response to the long-standing challenges faced by Black and Brown creatives in owning and controlling their content in music and film. With the mission to reclaim black and brown narratives and empower creatives to own their narratives.

In 2025, Pineapple Express Media Inc. walked into a new era when it was acquired by dj5rivers (Nivie Singh) marking a new chapter as a full-service music publishing company, with the goal of helping songwriters and composers maximize their earnings through licensing, royalties, and synchronization opportunities. Recognizing the importance of preserving cultural narratives, this rebranding renews a commitment to support the monetization of music and champion diverse voices in the global music landscape.
